Quality Control Supervisor

Description:

Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Quality Control Supervisor to support operations at the Asphalt Plant located in Bladensburg, MD. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing quality control processes, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest level of product quality.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Supervise and manage quality control activities to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and consistency.
• Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all quality control data.
• Train and mentor plant personnel on quality standards and best practices.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to quality control and compliance.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Report quality concerns and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Adhere to all environmental and safety regulations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control, preferably in the construction materials industry.
• Knowledge of testing procedures, industry regulations, and quality control methodologies.
• Required Work Experience: 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and data analysis software.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions without limitations.
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job).
• Reliable transportation.
• Licenses Required: N/A
• Strong safety orientation.

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
